I like the new knife and sword! :P
The knife is way better than the one we have now! :)

Well, I'm still working on them, but this is what I have so far. I don't like the whip yet. And the others can still be improved, but just to give some indication of the progress.

The staff is not instantly recognizable in my opinion

Yeah, make it more staff. I mean, I see no reason to fit the whole weapon in the same size. The new icons loose too much detail when compared with knife and sword.
Probably I'd leave only the top part of staff and pickaxe.
Mace ball should be a bit smaller and handle a bit longer.
Whip could look better when rolled.

Those are only my suggesitons, feel free to discard them.

Yeah, maybe I should look 'outside' the box literally. I've tried to fit every item into a box, without thinking whether or not that is really needed.

Because of that I had to compromise some of the consistency in the style. Thinking about this maybe I should make cut-outs of the pickaxe and staff.

Thanks for the feedback!

Definitely better except for the net?? inside the whip.
Also I don't like the cannon ball?? concept. If that's for thrown weapons I'd use a throwing knife, a shuriken, or a dart. Movement lines are fine.

Hmm.. the 'net' inside the whip are actually several smaller ropes, unfortunatly its a bit too detailed I guess :).

Yeah, the ball I copied from Crush's icons.. I'll make small darts.

Yep, those are just icons after all.

Anyway thanks, you really made me willing to learn inkscape. :D

Oh and probably I forgot to tell those icons are coming out better than expected IMHO. Keep up the good work.

Looks good. Maybe some transparency where items go outside of the icons so it looks like more is there, but not shown.

I'm not entirely sure about the fade-out thing. Its kind of out of style I think. Its clear that when it ends like it does now that the graphic is a cut-out (atleast, I think so). You might consider adding a border, but I'm not sure that would make it prettier.

woops, sorry for being so late in responding. been really busy with school work.
anyhoo, I do think they look great, I'm trying to get around to adding them to the skill interface, but time is not my friend lately. Only thing I'd have to say is that I'm not crazy about the spikey "BAM!" thingy in the unarmed icon. Its just a personal thing though, i really don't like those :).
