Re: Sword
It looks very blurred. Did you resize it from a larger graphic?
Also note that inventory icons require a transparent background instead of a white one. When the program you are using doesn't support PNGs with alpha transparency you should take a look at The GIMP http://www.gimp.org

I think you should take the time and gather ideas from the weapons and items already submitted into the game.
We also had a similar conversation with another individual

Here my advicesDawn300387 wrote:Here is my sword..
* change the yellow, may be a bit darker
* make the blade a little longer (looks too short)
* Play with the colors, if you replace colors may be you find the perfect combination
* make different versions, will help you to improve your skills
Pixel art requires patient and dedication, Just keep trying
Re: Sword
Hmm.. I'll try that, though I not very skilled gimp person... I do draw my pictures on KolourPaint then I edit it onto gimp but I have no idea what to do...

Re: Sword
Try less saturated and less voluminant colors for the hilt. 100% saturation colors should be avoided unless you want them to be recolored dynamically.
(when you work with RGB color space no channel should ever be 0 or 255)

Re: Sword
Wow, that was very helpful. I learned something.
Re: Sword
So maybe you will enjoy this one too: I used 8-bit alpha to make a hilt thinner.Sertraline wrote:Wow, that was very helpful. I learned something. :)
