Here we can try and resurrect old ideas or find out what fate has befallen them.

I like the dog-horse thing! I bet you need to be level 200 to kill it, since a spider requires level 40 or so :)

IMO spriteset is finished. We don't need 4 same frames with dead body.

Indeed, but we need to choose which version to be used.

I like the version with the spiral eyes better. We could also make it animated.

I wrote an email to Neko-Mon today. I informed him that we are going to implement his creature. Ears are minor update, they can be easily updated after release.

Back on topic...

What ever happened to map development?

It has been a while since a new map has been created (aside from caves/dungeons) let alone added to the currently released content. I have seen initiatives for new maps in places like south of the eastern desert map, but that is about all that comes to mind. I would love to see, even if it is just a rough outline, more of the world being mapped out. I think that (assuming that the world development is fairly conceptualized), we should have something along the lines of a wireframe for the areas that are planned on being in the world, and allow people to test distances and get the general feeling for the flow of the landmasses.

Just my opinion of course :)

I ripped the stone from an older graphic you posted in the woodland thread. I'll update it when I find the time.

Indeed it looks better, but that shadow is way too large compared to the shadows on the surrounding buildins and the palm trees. I've added a rather more subtle shadow to it now:
