Re: When is the new server?
The answer you will get is: "it's done when it's done".
Best way to tell when a project will get to it's next milestone is by watching the bug tracker, and seeing what is all going on, and what is all expected for the next release.
According to the roadmap, 0.1.0 is 52% finished ATM.
So your best bet would be to just check Mantis once and a while and see how things are coming, and try not to bother the devs too much.
(the devs don't really know how long it will be either)

Some time between now and never!Dawn300387 wrote:I know many don't know the answer, but there must be someone who does know such as the developers. I just want to know, hopefully it's no hassle for anyone for me to ask this question.

So basically it's done when it's done

The official answer is "when it's finished" (tm).
Software development is something which is very difficult to plan based on a schedule, even when you do it professionally. But in the case of hobby projects like TMW you also got the problem that only volunteers are working on it and the time and enthusiasm volunteers invest into a project is very variable. Sometimes we got a lot of enthusiastic and competent people working on TMWServ and it feels like it can be released in a few months and sometimes there is noone who finds the time to do something and nothing seems to happen at all.
The percent number on the roadmap on the bugtracker isn't that reliable either. It is calculated automatically from the number of open tickets. But some tickets are just minor bugs which can very likely fixed in a few minutes (as soon as someone gets around doing it) while other tickets require a major redesign of complex components. And then there are a lot of really big tasks which have to be done but aren't listed on the bugtracker because it is too early to implement them (like a crafting system, a magic system or a special attack system).

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.
You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
Re: When is the new server?
I guess I understand... It's just I've been thinking what it's like, no one has been there and neither have I but It's interesting what places and things people can make to go there.
