Got something on your mind about the project? This is the correct place for that.

An Idea: Maggot Cave

Post by Red Lord »

I was just thinking that maggots are very common creatures, large and small, so what if we make a slightly bigger quest than the bug leg one that revolves around them.

This quest would involve a new cave somewhere in the desert area, perhaps the pass that leads to woodlands. An etymologist is visiting Tulimshar because of all the animal/monster life that grows around it. He/she is very interested by the fact of how well maggots survive in this area, so he asks you to get 10 maggot eggs from the Maggot Cave.

The maggot cave could be one big cave or many small caverns underground. Each area has a certain type of maggot, going in this order. Maggot, Giant Maggot, and if possible to make more species, Maggot Soldier, Maggot Queen, Maggot King. The latter 2 would be the ones that drop the eggs.

This is just a draft form of my idea. I know I am new and it may be a stupid idea.

Ohh, sorry, typo there. If this is a good idea and does come through, I would be happy to work on the sprites of the monsters.

First off (random)
Giant Maggot = grub (or something like a beetle larva)
Image
It’s not a maggot

2nd (also random)
What are maggots doing out roaming the desert (maggots need a constant supply of food to live)

3rd off (pertaining to this topic)
Do we really want another generic cave, couldn’t we have it be the insides of a decomposing dead giant. This would really give us that gross factor :!:

I realize this is fantasy and if we truly want a grub to be a maggot, than a grub can be a maggot!

I like the idea of the inside of a Dead Giant, it does give a good idea to why the maggots may be living there.

Random Answer:
If grubs want to be maggots, then let them be maggots xD.

Well, this could be an underground crypt. Over land, there could be vultures or hyenas preying on dead corpses or roaming about in the desert.
