Well, unless you’re Royal or a Martian, blood tends to be red, so inverting the “red cross” would seem to hint at something towards vampirism rather than healing, at least to me.

As a voice from the peanut gallery I’ll say: Good looking icons. Personally I’d go with an open hand (raised to signify active healing) for healing. To me that’s easier to decode than a cross or syringe, for example.

 Something which perhaps would not look good, and perhaps be undesired to code/draw, is that the skin colour of an eventual hand in such an icon could be depending on the character’s race. Especially since so often the skin colour on general icons tend to be quite “white”/Caucasian. At least all races seem to be quite humanoid, so no need for different appendages.

Here is my concept for earth, after taking all in consideration I thought a simple rock would do best.

I think more contrast between the rock and the background is needed. It is hard to make out at first glance. Maybe shift the hue of the background a bit to yellow?

:| I must say I'm impressed... But in my opinion I like the green leaves better, but maybe it's just me.

The leaf symbol represents Plant, not Earth.

I think that's a little too bright, it looks more like gold to me now.

Perhaps invert the two colors, and have the background lighter, and the rock darker.
Although I think it looks more like a clump of dirt than a rock...

The meaning of the symbol seems clear, but it doesn't look like a rock anymore...

It is kinda like a lumb of clay... anyway, I did another version of lightning. I thought the other one was too complex.

I prefer the multi-branched lightning, but maybe that's just me?

I prefer the original too. Maybe because it has more presence and fills the circle well..

I actually prefer Othello's version. It's more "iconic" in that it's simpler and more instantly recognisable as lightning. I do think that it could lose the black outline around the lightning bolt though.
