Demon,Devil,Assassin Mask

Post by Black Don »

I revised the mask some so that the lighter colors are a little darker and added a better death frame and fixed some details around the eyes

and here is how it looks on the player sprites

I'm still not sold on any name. Peavey had thought of calling it a ginzu mask.

IMO the item icon looks weird, maybe you can try it in a 3/4 perspective?

Totally sweet looking! Perhaps this could spawn some various masks of other types, could be interesting. =)
My one crit is the same as Ejol, the item icon doesn't look right. Perhaps making it at a 3/4 perspective like was suggested. Or else just not having the band on it.

I think the eye holes on the side view should be a lot smaller than they are now. Right now, they look like holes on the sides of the mask for ears rather than for the eyes.

Ah finally comments :)

this is what the mask looks like now

this what it looks like on the players sprite head

I did not make the eye holes smaller because that goes against the Big eyed anime style of the whole game. What I did do is move the horns closer to the front of the head in the side views and adjusted the back view to be flatter and more rounded like a large ribbon would be. Thanks to peavey for showing me the rear goggles view for a better perspective view on the back.

It's actually a pretty big improvement. Nice work.

Nice to know someone like my work. I'm not giving up until I get a response.

So here it is in recolorable red.

Oh wow... looks great! But could the horns be a bit bigger?

EDIT: the horns could also be a bit more yellowish...

I'm not sure what you would accomplish by making them more yellow? if its because they are hard to see against a white back ground then making them yellow would help there but then they would vanish against a more yellow back ground like the desert sand.

But I could do bigger horns. Maybe people are getting tired of my little white horns, so here are some larger black ones. (instead of adding more yellow)

like most of the armor now the color is done this way so it can be recolored dynamically in game.
