hi TMW,
I have experienced several positioning problems with the linux client :
Problem 1
- playing with 2 machines on on XP, the other on ubuntu 8.04.
- position in range on ubuntu shows 1 or 2 spaces difference on xp screen
- of course no hit on the ubuntu machine
- watching the xp screen shows the "real" sprite position
- sorry no prtscrn of it...
Problem 2
- same as before but only 1 machine
- prtscrn availables and attached
this happens on all the maps.
Hope this helps
regards,
grptrk

Re: Ubuntu 8.04 positioning bug
There are a number of known issues where the position on your client gets out of sync with your position on the server. I suspect that what you're reporting are just manifestations of these issues - the client controlling the player is out of sync, showing you in the "wrong" location, while the "observer" client shows your "right" location.
Re: Ubuntu 8.04 positioning bug
Thanks Sanga,
i'd like to add that it is always the case, i rarely position correctly. most of the time, i run around the foe till i find the right position. as long as i don't have too many foes, it's ok, but as soon as i have 6 or more foes, i usually reappear by the stone, , lol.
btw, client version is 0.0.24.1
thx
