Textured vs. clean cut
First an example of both
(zelda: a link to the past) clean cut
(Chrono Trigger) textured
Both look great but I wouldn't suggest combing the two
And now us
We appear to have some confusion here and we might want to strengthen our style guidelines (or at least define what we are and establish a detail range)
this of course would not apply to monster/players/dropped items (but slightly more detail wouldn't hurt them)

I've always liked textured myself
"Too much of a good thing is an awesome thing, but too much of an awesome thing is, um, really really dumb. And bad." Strong Bad
Re: Textured vs. clean cut
Same and thats the direction I've been trying to push us in, the purpose here is to define some sort of loose range we can work in (which might vary slightly depending on the map)Black Don wrote:I've always liked textured myself

Re: Textured vs. clean cut
Clean cut looks so dated! If we want quality, I'd say that we'd need as much texturing as feasible.

Re: Textured vs. clean cut

Re: Textured vs. clean cut
Understood, it should be a fairly easy fix to add texture and the design is great
