Maybe you should remove the shadow at the ground. All the other tilesets only use this for indoor areas.
Who cares if it "looks riped out", if everyone would think like that Monalisa would never be created since there are alot of calm women portraits and on the first glase Mona is very original.

I love the tileset, and it is useful content, which we would consider putting in game, it looks profesional and very clear.

Regards.

Hmm... This is just a idea, but how about some windows? I'd say it's little dark without a window, but it might be a some kind of jail, then they don't need windows, this is only a idea, nothing you have to add.

Windows yes, but only with bars :P Actually it's for new prison for Matt.

things that they should be added:
- windows
- windows with bars
- other 2 wall round corners
- statues of TMW Heroes
- wooden bridge
- pavement replacement (pavement tile will be cut of from wall tiles)

I'm just testing new ground tile. It might be a bit cooler (blueish?) I suppose. Any feedback?

As you already noticed I decided to separate ground tile. That makes it more flexible. Shadows will be embedded in tile where it's possible. I also managed to add some tiles for standalone wall usage - not only for buildings.
Wooden-like thing is just a mockup. It's not easy to draw nice wooden surface.

This is such a great tileset, the wooden texture looks pretty good to me.

Do you think we can use the pillar shape on this tileset ?

Maybe as entrance or stand alone, the fact is the pillar is just a piece and we need to integrate it to a tileset, if you want you can add it to yours, or may be just take the idea and create something similar that match this tileset style.

my respect to your high quality job

Actually now it looks a bit better. Also I integrated some wooden parts with wall. Results IMO are nice.

I think we can, but I can't tell you how it will be look like. In fact some critical parts of this tileset still missing. I managed to concentrate on windows, finishing rounded corners and roof. Any ideas and concepts will be appreciated. Also it would be nice to integrate some plants into walls.

If you want post only one sentence without any constructive message it's better to everyone to keep it for yourself. This thread should help develop this tileset, basically it's not place for "wow's", "omg's", "omfg's", "cool's". At least you should try to decribe what is good or bad. Any criticism will be appreciated. Notice that it's licenced on terms of GPL. According to that you are also ALLOWED to use and modify any part of it.

Here my idea, may be using the pillar shape integrated in a wall or two pillars used as entrance : here my funny draft

I would like this tileset to be used for the new port town which is currently deadlocking the argaes map development.

Thus I would like to ask if you could make some port tiles (walls ending in water, bollards, piers etc. maybe a ship when you feel like it)

  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.
