Listen guys. Pickpocket can only SPEAK english, he can't read it very well however. If you want to talk to him and tell him what you think you'll have to tell him in arabic (his native language).
i dont know many about arabic social type, but i think that an common sense know that is it wrong to steal. sure can a player run out of money and need the money to buy an apple for the next fight, but it gaves no excuse to steal everything of any player, tracking the player till the player die or logs off. and its not enought, he talks full of proudness this to other players to become affirmation and acceptance for this action.
i think it brings nothing to ban him again, but i think for the future must give it a rule or other mechanism to protect the whole community for players like him.
yesterday a player talks an good idea:
the drop past the kill, is for a time only available for the killer of the creature, after this time the drop can taken by everyone.
i think its a good idea.
sure it makes work to change the program source, but i think for the future its an good idea.

Yes, I do nothing in this game besides eating donuts and drinking coffee, if you ever heard that since 1997 I am spending alot of money and time to sustain the machine to host OSS projects likes this for free - it is a lie, if you ever heard that I am wasting alot of my time to keep here things in order - it is also a lie. I do nothing, and I have the "admin status" because I am keeping Bjorn's girlfriend in my basement.
2. I don't care if you like someone or not. Also I don't care about amount of stupid people on the band wagon, the larger the band wagon is, the more resistant I am. No one ever won anything from me by yelling and yapping.
3. Stealing is not against the rules, I have explained several times why, but i can do it one more, last, time: 1. because it cannot be proven (and your yapping is not a proof), 2. because a thief is one of RPG characters to choose.
4. Yes, I use my main character just to talk with the people and host events, or do carry on the priviledged tasks. I have several other characters in game, that I use, to find out how do things really goes on (including what do people, do when pickpocket comes around - that would rather qualify them for ban not him).
5. If a person is stealing from you, move elsewhere, you don't have to camp one spot all the time, if you feel there are no other, better spot and you think something should be changed, post a suggestion on the suggestions forum - in polite manner.
The only reason you can post here flames is because I believe(d) that our community can be considerate, underestanding and use freedom of speech wisely, looks that I was wrong. Since today, any person spamming the forum will be several times warned and then banned.
It is not like we don't give a Chocolate Cupcake if people are here here or not, we do appreciate our community and players, any person here is welcome, all members of the team are doing alot for you to enjoy this game, however this is not a commercial MMORPG where you can come and flame emplyees because they are getting paid to bear it.
Why you flamed me? Because I have not banned a person you have pointed with your finger?
Keep screaming and I will suggest to the admins pickpocket for a moderator.

That's just silly, no one wants to attack you or what you have done for tmw or other oss projects.

It is not stubbornes, it is wit that not let's me to be pushed into decisions that in the long term will be harmful for the community, unless you think that making moderator to ban a person regardless of the fact if that particular person has broken the rules or not is nice thing to do. I am fully aware that people got used to burning witches on stack in MMORPG games, however, this isn't going to happen here. Hate me, love me, but no one ever will be banned here if they not broken any rules.
Call it as you want, but I do repeat: No one, ever will win anything from me by yelling and yapping.

You will have this opportunity during the development progress, we will have real PK and guilds. This is the game under development.

Then the person is obviously a bot. I have already banned pickpocket for botting. You can also lure him to the snake cave to get him killed.
If you think I am a evil, look on this that way: I could silently delete the whole this thread, and I could ban any persons who are insulting me.
But I do prefer to make you think about your actions and reconsider your behaviour than smash you wish a club.
re 1: i know that a admin has more to do, as sit and reading things like that.
re 2: we all have see that you dont care something. that is the reason for this conversation. "stupid people on the band wagon", i know that players with an own meaning can inconveniently be, but no one of this players is stupid, they only want to change something to higher the game comfort. with meanings and hints to change here a little bit and there a little bit, the game is grown up to that what it is...

this game is a part of you, like your child, i think it is in your interest to hear what players want and think.
what you will change on the game if no one say "hey here is a bug?"
the developing will stand still, no new aspekts will added to the game, nothing.
the game dies slowly if you affront so all hints.
sure the first idea was to ban him, ok its your job to say "its not agains the rules,
i can not ban him." i understand the reasons for it. but in this moment you have do nothing. we only have hoped that you say, "we search a mechanism to protect the players against this doing." we all knows that it isnt done over night, but for the future...
re 3: i think everybody has understand that stealing isnt against the rules, some players more as it where better for the community. cannot be proven? i think you have see the videos, it sounds like it. we all have choosen a character...and every player choose a direction to form this char. and the most players dont distrupt other, if a player in conflict with other players, the player have 3 options,
1: try to clear it by own, with talk.
2: never log in again.
3: try to talk with an admin, in hope to change something.
we like the community, most have tryed to talk with him to change something, with no success, the 2nd option is more an theoretical option, and the 3rd option we have tryed, but with no success. the only what we have reached is an angry admin, and what i dont have considered with this discution, a change of pickpocket's social type, for the moment. not that you think we wanted to make you angry, but that you dont understand positive critique, isnt our blame.
re 4: i know that some reactions of pickpocket are not the best, but some players are very angry about him, the most are new players they need the stuff to form the char. with an better armor etc. to reach higher levels. the players they gived their voice here, are most higher players and they need the drops and money too, to buy arrows and stuff for healing. i understand the players, this is the reason why i write this and try to change something. i know that i use strong words to underline my words and discribe the situation, but i think its no flame about you. many players have read the last discussions about it, and nearly all have read this. it is a good form to reach nearly every player, why we cant reach a open ear from an admin?
ok, you have borrowed us a ear, this is good, but why you dont understand what we want?
re 5: i think every player knows that he / she stands in a mop of creatures, he / she cant move, he / she can try it, but with low chance of success, the creatures attacks and with it they hold the player on this point. sure on the player console the player runs around, but it changes nothing and the drops are lost till the player has freed or killed all creatures.
i think we have used the freedom of speech wisely, sure with hard words, not all can be discribe soften and bootlicking. for some things we need words with more power. i know that you understand this, your choose of words are akin. that you think this is spam, its a pity and shows one times more that you dont want understand what we wanted to do.
next point is you want to eliminate the gift of free meaning, this is inadmissible to me.
i know that the game is not commercial, i have to admire it, i have spend many time to play it, with fun and enthusiasm. i like the conversations with players from other nations.
and this is the reason why i write so many here, i have hoped to give the community a little bit back, with hints and helpful suggestions. but the only what i have reached is to fall on deaf ears.
no one flames you, you see it as flame that a group of loyal members shows his meaning here. sure we have pointed to a player, sure we have tryed to convince you to ban him. but it was not the only what we have tryed, we have tempted to change something, not only for one player. no, with intent of the whole community.
do what you want, you do it anyway.
