Well, it was more aimed as an example of what we could achieve with the particle engine concerning spell effects, but if people also like the game, no one loses either.

(The spell effect point is about there being briefly something visible in a cloud or effect, for example a quite typical and iconic death skull or a fire lion.)

That is a great idea, but the only one that can make the particle effects is Crush.. right?

Some people beside me, like fate and zipon, have shown to understand the particle engine.

When you want to experiment with it too you should check out the documentation of the particle engine and the (still unfinished) particle engine tutorial:

http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Particle_engine
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/ ... e_Tutorial
  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I think pokemon could be a good inspiration for monsters.

Something which is in the minimalism of expression rather alike to pixel art.
