Some other work has recently come up that requires my time until at least mid-September.
When I am able to compose again regularly, I will post here.

Sorry about the delay.

Thanks! ;D

Before someone had mentioned that it sounded to soft.
I added some electric guitar on a part to try and fix that.
let me know what you think.

You can check out the guitar part at the link below.

When I read "electric guitar" I was afraid you created some kind of rock song. But the way you used it is very sublimal and it contributes perfectly to the atmosphere of the song. It's really a great improvement.

Hey all, hope you're all well. I am also in the same boat as nycsounddesign, though my work will be taking me up till early December... Having said that, when I do come back, I may be looking to get involved with the sound FX side of things also...

The looping is a bit weird, but otherwise a great piece.

Restarting at the end is slightly jarring, since the rest of the song is so smooth in the transitions. But it can work as-is.

I know what you mean, It will all loop together nicely when it's done. This one is just a temporary mix to get a feel for what everybody thought about the new part.
Do you all think I should keep that new big part at the end and then take the melody up a notch to match that kind of feeling, or should I just keep the pacing where it was prior to the addition of the new part?
My intention is to have the melody swell in intensity over the course of "grinding" in the cave, but I also want it to feel like you're going deeper into the caves without it being to jarring.

Also, I'm aiming for about a 6-8 minute loop when it's all done.

As always, I look forward to reading your opinions, and hope to make the song fit the mood. :D

Hi all,

Been keeping an eye on development from time to time here, though been focusing on the other work I have undertaken.

Have just been listening to the latest track here. I love the instrumentation of your tracks, reminds me of Nobuo Oematsu's work on FFX...

03:22 - 03:25 - I love the drum fill here, especially the panning arrangement! (did you sweep the panning on all tom toms, or did you have each single tom tom set at seperate positions...?)

03:26 - What kind of synth pad did you use here, with echo/delay?

Great stuff. In my opinion, couldn't flaw it and as it's still a work in progress I know the looping of the track will be fine in the end... do you even need me on this anymore? lol

Thanks! Nobuo Oematsu is great.
I've been working on a ton of stuff too, editing a lot of dialogue, and composing for other projects.

I'll have to check on the panning and synths, and get back to you.

Some of the new synth sounds are from VST Instruments that I made.

I'm still totally down with collaborating, do you think that it would sound good if we re-imagine some elements of the melody with a harder edge and compose those parts after where the song currently stops, and then make our way back to where the song started so it gets a nice loop?

Certainly! I'll have a go at this over the next week and post some stuff up for integration soon... :D
