Ores
Crush brought up an interesting topic in another post, he said that one user on the wiki said we should name ores after contributors. The only problem this has is as an open source project, we have many contributors come and go and "Bjornite, Eugenium, etc." all sound a bit odd. He also said that we should name them something else because people would come in saying "This doesn't correspond to how it is in real life...", So I propose that we name ores after their corresponding color in Latin. Viridin (Viridis [Green]), Rubrum (Rubra [Red]), Caerulite (Caerulea [Blue]), etc.
What are you thoughts on this?

Lazy bum.
Re: Ores
I want to vote "I hate you Grant, and your damn poll" and "After colors in Latin or Greek" . In the end I just voted for the colors though. The downside with custom names is that people have to "learn" what a weaker metal is, and what a stronger.

I really wanted to vote "I hate you Grant, and your damn poll", but the I couldn't select other option. I selected by place where they are found, so you'll instantly know if you have that one, and where to find them.
Uses Ubuntu 8.10 and The mana world 0.0.27.
Re: Ores
and what if you can find the same ore at different places?
Re: Ores
Call it by more popular one, or by bigger area. Two same ores can't be found at different parts of the world.EJlol wrote:and what if you can find the same ore at different places?
