0.0.26 (as of 17th November) for OSX 10.4 and later

Post by trapdoor »

http://www.casualgamer.co.uk/TMW-OSX-0.0.26.dmg

This should run on 10.4 and later for PPC and Intel. I created it on my wife's imac, as my laptop died, I have no way of verifying it works on a different machine.

Its had little testing, so any and all feedback would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear you are still having problems. 10.3.9 is too old now and unsupported by Apple, so you should look into upgrading, 10.4 really is a great worthwhile upgrade.

Has anyone else been able to run it successfully?

Works fine here. No crashes with ~2min of testing.

I use both PPC and Intel Macs running 10.4 and 10.5 so I can test it for you on both paltforms. :D

So far so good on my PPC at work. I am running 10.4.11 and am having no problems. One thing I did notice that is different than the Windows version of tmw is that the critical hits are throwing off orange sparks instead of bigger white sparks. pretty cool.

Will test it on macbook at home later tonight.

The critical display was changed after 0.0.26 was released. Trapdoor: did you use the right code?

Why didn't you use the 0.0.26 release code?

So you gave us an alpha or beta version of 0.0.27? I thought that it was weird that it was behaving slightly different than the current windows client. You should have labeled it as such instead of passing it off as the more stable 0.0.26 version. Its not that I would have tested it out for you, I just want a little warning as to why it might potentially crash.

If I could get the supporting libraries to compile, then I would have been getting the latest git push just for the fun of it while still running the stable release at the same time.

It's between 0.0.26 and 0.0.27. It still identifies itself as 0.0.26. It should be completely stable.

To be honest, I just wanted to get a release out, and I had no idea how to get the 0.0.26 tag in git.

Apologies for anyone who has problems with this not being the exact 0.0.26 code, I figured it was better to have something rather than nothing.

I have now added my xcodeproj to git, so anyone should be able to compile it themselves.
