Only concepts of principles on how to do it. Don't get stuck on the details of the examples, they're not applicable and might even be horrible.

Re: [WIP]Mana Dragon
IMHO, shouldn't we look at the original bat in-game for consistency?Rotonen wrote:Like:

Lazy bum.
Re: [WIP]Mana Dragon
The top points of the wings have to be animated too of course. Thats one of the reasons why I used the word "crappy" in my post. . IMO it could work after some fix up, this is just an early test.Crush wrote:Looks strange with the top points of the wings nailed in the air.
Thanks for the pics Rotonen. The problem with the animations you posted or the bat we already have in game is that they look like they're really moving forward. I planned to show the dragon only from the front, not moving in any direction just like in secret of mana. So I would prefer a smoothly flap of the wings and move the dragon a bit up and down like this:
Re: [WIP]Mana Dragon
I did an example and put red dots to the points that are now still "nailed to position" and did a crude and overdone example of how they could and IMO should move instead of being static. With the fluency of motion otherwise, the static bits of the wings look out of place.
As it is now, it looks like its only slightly folding the wings.
