The leaves and the top part of the monster still looks blurry, but maybe it's my screen if no one complains about it ;)

the new trees have a nice style imo, but are a little bit too bluish and too small. some other ppl in the game mentioned that too

Its easy to change the color, but if we made them any larger it would destroy the maps using the trees.

Right now the woodland just looks weird. The trees simply don't fit in with the rest of the tileset. I think if you're going to makeover the tileset you need to do the whole thing, else it just looks inconsistent.

In what little free time I have, I enjoy working on my own project. Because of this I'm probably not going to have time to complete this. So now its up to someone else to finish or discard this work

Hi, long time no see. I have been too depressed with job search and working with disrespecting people that I have not visited this forums until now. Although I don't have that much free time either, I can take over with polishing this tileset etc... to create a unitfied style. Should I continue to work on the tall tree, or should I make the tree less blueish etc?

Welcome back, very much appreciated. I hope your job hunting goes well.

Unfortunately I have no useful input on the course of action to be taken with this tileset at this moment.

Thanks. I did get a job, it is just that I am not doing very well in it. Anyway, I am going to update the tall tree and rework the entire tileset as soon as I got my tablet working again.

The main concern I have is how much shadow, contrast, and saturation should the graphics be in general. Currently, the small trees does not fit well into the rest, not just because the old tilesets need work, but also because the new trees have different tone curve. The colour is also an issue, in the old version, the bark is redish brown, now it is yellowish brown. There are also more gray spots in the new tree (i.e. low saturation in the midtone).

I am thinking, perhaps, all trunk should have the same colour?

Anyway, here's the draft of the tileable version of the tall tree.

Should the root part be taller?

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

I looked at the old tileset. Apparently, the root part is indeed taller, so I made changes to the tile like this:

I am trying to make the trunk near the root hairy, but it looks kind of weird.
