i tried to make the cactus look more realistic i dont think anyone was working on it but still :) glad to do sumthing

No offence, but I don't think this is an improvement. I like the original one allot more.

It still doesn't change the fact that the original should be changed.

Nice initiative, we definitely need more people to try to do this. Thank you and please do try again and again and again.

yes the point of me posting this was that i like to get ideas from other peoples opinions so tell me your ideas to make this one better. such as make it lighter darker needs more color ect.. thx :)

i updated the cactus on the far rite's spikes are now more apparent

Not sure if this helps, but part of what I was thinking for use on a cactus monster, pretty rough still, but it might help towards cactus improvements...

You're working with an old version of that tileset. The current one has the well in the correct perspective (which is the perspective that the rest of the set should be in).

Some different concepts...
I made the different versions for the sake of variety, but then I started thinking this might become a nice animated tile If I add some intermediate stages of the flower opening/closing. Dunno how many frames would be preferable though...

Any feedback?

I was thinking more among the lines of a day/night cyclus.
Monster would be great to, but I don't think that opening/closing the flower on your head is the best way to go when you're a cactus and want to attack someone :)

(hint cacti have needles :D )

My point is that the new well is in the correct perspective. The old cactus graphic is in the same perspective as the old well; any graphic based on the old cactus will be in the wrong perspective.

Collorary: the new cactus should clash horribly with the existing stuff in that tileset (except the well) :lol: . I actually think it should be worked on in a separate image, without reference to the existing cactus tiles.

I changed the perspective a bit (not sure wheter point of view is still to low).
I find it challenging to tell because of the curving of the cacti vs. the cut of cylinder of the well
