The '99' Club

Post by CelticFyre »

In an effort to keep a record of those who reach 99, and keep a picture archive of the club.

Whynotdad2 - February 6, 2009
Delasia - March 24, 2009
Ariella - March 29, 2009

As people hit the 99 mark, I would like to keep a record.
Congratulations to the TMW Trinity.

Good job campers! The next time I want to play the game, making some pudding and watch a "Law and Order" marathon with little attention to the game, I too will make amazing leaps in XP, maybe towards that elusive level 99. I can't think of anything more boring than not getting XP for killing monsters. Not sure why this is an achievement worth celebrating. I think we should hold funerals for our level 99s.

the stronger a Monster is the more its minimum amount of damage that ignores players defense should be

it is easy to be a camper all day if the monsters are only doing 1 damage to you (this would ensure that monsters that do 1-5 damage would be rubbish to train on and people would need to pay more attention to the game while playing it)

Why would you celebrate a funeral when all three characters are still active?
I think you would be happy that they are not "Campers" as you have previously accused, and claim to want to stop.

Lame Wombat, even for you.

Mourn the loss of xp for when they kill monsters?

Edited: I removed my personal attack from this post.

Delasia and everyone else, if you would like to settle this in game, please do so. I'm not trying to be the "better" person by posting this. I simply would prefer to handle our problems in game. I have helped scores of newbies, given over a million in gp and items to people, traded with others at reasonable or below cost for other items, given advice and fostered events.

I do this because I enjoy doing it. If you are now doing the same, cool. Please realize that I am going to occasionally to bring strategic thinking to the game. You and your friends figured out a good counter strategy to my attacks on the skull room. In the screenies from the locked thread, jeto detailed the counter strategy. Please spread word among your allies of this strategy and I'll work on a way of countering this counter strategy. This is how the game is played. We simply differ on game play approaches. If I put a queen in check, there is no reason to knock the chess board over when rethinking our moves would increase the value of the game and bring elements to this game to go well beyond the normal grind.

Things become ugly when people don't want to consider counter strategies and prefer to simply antagonize me both here and in the forums. There is no reason for this. I recommend you play the test server and realize that there is room in this game for good, evil and neutral characters without the bad blood being dragged everywhere in an attempt to defame me simply because I disagree and am willing to act in game on my disagreements. We should be able to enjoy the conflicts between players and think one step ahead of each other instead of making it into an issue that goes well beyond the purpose of my actions.

Well looking at the top lists and the GM log over the last few days, they seem to be overly active. So much that they disappear and re-appear.

Without any explanations. For instance, the char Delasia doesn't seem to exist anymore. Just like Dewey didn't exist yesterday until he was re-created.

Unusual type of activity...

Yeah I noticed that too...Dewey now comes in on the online list after a new mule of mine...curious indeed. And if you take a peek at the GM logs...someone had his levels restored...

And Delasia was missing from the lists yesterday...

Curious and curiouser...

Well to clarify.
Dewey was attacked, hacked and deleted, and as a result, both he and Delasia were bounced from the married list.

However because the divorce scenario does not work, Delasia is neither married or single, and until that can be rectified she appears only on the Highest Lvl list.

Dewey was infact reinstated by the GM's office. Although he had recently lvled to 98 the last screeen record is 97, so a full level was lost, and all his inventory and GP was lost as well.

Delasia is on for moral support and for Potion Witching and newbie help. Although she has been seen collecting herbs and such, group fighting has been abandoned so as not to take from the others in the group when the xp goes no where anyway.

For the record, ALL three of the 99's have started fresh and are currently at the bottom of the pile.

Just an added note. What we have learned....take screenshots of you status and inventory when major changes occur. It could save you time and money.

In that case, I would implore the GMs to use the @log / @l command when doing things like that. I believe the GM logs were made public to be a transparent overview of their actions and not a source of confusion.

And of course that's the case since he was re-created and artificially leveled. He should've been restored from an earlier server backup and not in this way. That way the marriage would've been still valid and he would've probably gotten his stuff back, as well.

Either way, my sympathies to Dewey. No one deserves getting hacked.
