Trade Spam and Whisper Spam Attacks?

Are the trade spam and whisper attacks being worked on? I wish I had more knowledge in this area to help fix problems like this, but after receiving several of these, I am definitely not a fan of these bugs. I'm referring to problems I've reported in the Court House here.
Current character is "Abolish".

Wombat, you might have better luck joining IRC and asking on the dev chan.

Would've been in sooner, except I was having problems due to a typo. This uses the same code as normal chat (even the counters).
