Identifying botting abuse locations

Post by Fother »

Working off of Crush's suggestion to reduce botting:
A by far better method to reduce botting would be to redesign levels and monster population in a way that it is no longer possible to play efficiently by just holding two keys.

See Thread
Please list any map names and an approximate location (with brief description if needed) where you feel botting is a problem, or a current monster respawn area poses a possible problem with this. Let's leave discussion on how it may be resolved up to the devs, I'd just like to get a list together. 8)

Just to start things out (and I know there's plenty of obvious botting dens out there), but the one I see the most often is the Red Slime hill in the Hurnscald mines. Map 018-3 Approx around 132,96. It's usually short term botters that don't park there long, but they don't respond, and always appologize for being away after 5 minutes despite the odd fact that they're auto targeting and attacking anything that appoaches where they're standing.

Not sure about what map and location, but in the Snake Desert, east of Tulimshar. By NPC William where 3 snakes spawn and the one south of there where 2 snakes spawn by 2 NPC's.

I sometimes camp at the one where 3 snakes spawn, but I wouldn't mind having to move around if it would prevent botters.

Also Sea Slimes, west of Tulimshar.

Also near the NPC "Mika" a number of snakes and one mountain snake spawns,I've seen some people there but never bothered them because GM's won't believe unless it be their eyes that saw those
Sometimes, it is better to forgive your foes, this annoys them the most.
