[CPT] Sleepable beds
As you can see from the different case scenarios, beds should not be walked on, otherwise it feels like a floor mat especially when standing on the end pole.
For a more modern twist, the bed should be split in two sections near the pillow, the bottom and top layer as seen in Pokemon Pearl. This should create a cool effect of sleeping in the bed.
Another suggestion is an additional double bed for two players, which would also be cool.
Maybe a warp point under the pillow that gets activated when you request to sleep at an inn.

I think this would be a great idea, it's one thing I've always thought was missing from the game.
I also like the idea of having warp points in each bed, that way you aren't just paying for a heal, but you get a warp as well.

If bed tileset from woodland indoors are changed for player sized beds, using Tiled we could do a trick using a over layer with a blanket, so when player enter, he will seem inside bed.
Also do a barrier near bed to configure healing effects or access/leave of bed.

Re: [CPT] Sleepable beds
only problem is, that because the bed is only 2 tiles in width (single bed) the player lies with on the right or left side of the bed, which is odd, because he should lie in the middle.
the solution is to make the bed fit on 3 tiles (width) with the center of the bed in the middle tile.

Re: [CPT] Sleepable beds
What pateame suggests will not work properly, because a player standing in front of the bed will also be obscured by the blanket when it is on an over layer.
A better solution would be to put the blanket into an oversized tileset and place it on the fringe layer (the same technique is used for the high grass and wheat fields).

Pateame's blanket is a great idea.
To illustrate what I meant earlier about the middle part:

Yes. That change will be needed to prevent things from looking strange.adamaix wrote:Pateame's blanket is a great idea.
