Re: Graveyard Tombstones
looks a bit too isometric, and needs to be bashed about a bit with grass and cracks and a symbol
But, we can't be too religious
we need generic; or some TMW back-story religious symbols.

Re: Graveyard Tombstones
looks great but its missing something i cant c idk what it is though... maybe one of the more advanced graphics artest could spot ? but relly to me it looks perfect..............oh try and use up all 32x32 pixles
Re: Graveyard Tombstones
meway can you add some grass and ageing to that angled grave?
Re: Graveyard Tombstones
sure when i get home. Im at school, but give it a try u did a great job with grass on that last one. kk its good practice......lol the devs still agree that i need a bit myself lol.. but ideas are ideas even if the product is not perfect. just IMO.
Re: Graveyard Tombstones
Yoshuhara had a few ideas for tombstones from the old Cemetery Map thread
These might be able to be salvaged or expanded apon as well...yosuhara on Fri Dec 28, 2007 8:25 pm wrote:i've started working on cemetery some time ago... this is what i have so far:

Perhaps the TMW symbol can be incorporated on the grave stones

I might start work on a an opening crypt => spooky jumpy out skellingtons!
Re: Graveyard Tombstones
my opinion,
assuming this graveyard is relatively small...
gravestones are not natural. They were put there by people; who tend to put graves in straight lines. I completely agree that there should be some stones that are not aligned due to ground movements or whatever, but if you make a headstone that is off-set somehow, you will need to make another of that same headstone facing another direction for realism.
Anyhow, I think this cemetery should have the traditional rounded slab headstone for 95%, maybe 3 to 4 versions of it in various states, then one moderately bigger looking headstone (repeated twice, maybe 3 times) and a mausoleum/crypt.

It's all in the texture my friend, look at Yoshuhara's stones and the texturing on them - that stereotypical "boring" shape is perfect!meway wrote:eew thats so boaring

Re: Graveyard Tombstones
wasn't there a war? Should the graves be more like: http://www.madingleyamericancemetery.in ... -large.jpg?
Re: Graveyard Tombstones
Perhaps an old grave yard and a new graveyard?
