I will tell you now that I (unfornuately) live in the US, and speak American English.
I think that it would be best for TMW content to use British English, for two reasons:
1) American English is just a deriviative of British English
2) We have a lot of people whose native language is not English, but when taking English courses (correct me if I'm wrong here) most people learn British English

"I think, therefore I exist" is a flawed logic. If the universe were a function, any mathematician could graph our synapses.
Just as the sine wave resonates and e^x is its own derivative, we need be only an idea to do anything at all.

1) They both stem from an earlier form of English.undecim wrote:I will tell you now that I (unfornuately) live in the US, and speak American English.

2) Depends on the area. Some teach American. Others teach British.

We're splitting hairs here.
Instead of getting stuck, let's just use a mishmash of international English as we have done so far.
If someone is offended by that, they can go and fix it to their liking, this is open source after all.
Those who care can either care enough to maintain their own language set or be silent about it.

This message used to be meaningful.

Re: Should TMW use British English or American English?
Some NPCs may talk British English and others may talk American, yet others may speak weird kinds of slang. As long as it's consistent within one NPC, it really doesn't matter, so I'm closing this topic.
