[REQ] New mouse icons
I made a patch so you can mouseover npcs/mobs/items and your cursor changes and need graphics for it
http://mantis.themanaworld.org/view.php?id=715 Is the pertaining roadmap item if you want to check it out.
..\tmw\data\graphics\gui\mouse.png Is what I need extended to add:
Attack (mouse over mob)
Pickup (mouse over a drop)
Talk (mouse over an NPC)
If you can think of other cursors that might be used feel free to go wild hehe.

Just some placeholders so you have something to work with. IMO a simple color change to denote context is enough for now, but maybe someone wants to add more creative icons later.

Having actual items in game seems confusing. I was thinking that we could use the Forum swords for attack though. (Shows some degree of consistency)... I'll use crush's unless someone makes prettier/more obvious ones.

I made the colour scheme more even and added shadows to match. This good or do you just want to keep the std mouse w/ different colours? Personally I don't think symbolism is a bad thing. heheCrush wrote:Could you try to create something which is more in the style of the other cursor graphics?

Nice initiative. I'll hold my verdict on the sword and the hand icon, but the others are fine.

I'm working on a sword with the green jewel from the cursor at its hilt, and all in colours copied from the rest of the cursor.
Sword = Melee Attack
Arrow = Ranged Attack
Hand + Coin = Take
Mouth / Speech Bubble = Talk
Also, would it be possible to right click monster, and select an attack spell? This of course would be limited to spells you have been taught, and maybe those you have mastered. It could even detect if you have the ingredients for the spell or not, and not show the spell if you do not. This wouldn't really make it easier and quicker to cast magic, as you can always just hit enter-up-enter-enter-up-enter anyway, or if using two spells alternately enter-up-up-enter-enter-up-up-enter.

EDIT: I think his sword was better. The colours just need a bit of a redo, and the Cursor Jewel added at its hilt.
