Emoticons contest
Emoticons contest
This is a serious effort to replace the emoticons both used in game and in the forum which still are not original graphic. Since it is a contest there the winner/winners will be rewarded with unique items in game.
I don't want to set any rule about dimension, espression, shape colour, just free you fantasy and follow the suggestions of those who post comments.
I want just to say that the sprites should be presented in png format with the same number of frames for each emoticon (of course you can make an animated gif to show them here)
If necessary more rules/indications will be added later.
The final decision will be taken at the developers meeting on the 16th of July (~ 1 month). Everyone who's interested can join and express his opinion.
Good contest to everyone and let's go with smiles

Hey, I just thought of this after looking at Bjørn's emoticons there:
What if the characters would turn to face down (kinda like facing the camera) and change their facial expression accordingly?
It would be a great step towards SoM-ism!
(Yeah they do that in the game)

First of all, my name is not Bjørn... eventhough his addition looked very funny.Chetic wrote:Hey, I just thought of this after looking at Bjørn's emoticons there:

Second, nice idea... but what if you're wearing a full helmet? Maybe that's where Bjørn's idea comes in, pasting the smilies over the players heads.
Third and last, I did some updates:
I don't think I like the horns though.
