Hi Goku,
Nice job!
Could you give a little bit more to a poor non-art maker?
Could you:
- Remove the gray background of the given sprite?
- Provide an icon for this hat?
(The better would to provide a hat drawn using the required perspective
and NOT cut/paste the first or the last sprite frame into a single 32x32 png file.)
Thank you!
Regards,

and the perspective on the death frame is wrong. If you tip a hat up side down you should see inside the hat like a bowl.

Re: [WIP] Fairy Hat
Edit:
I remember why I drew it like this now and uploaded a pic to help explain lol. It's still top view 45 degrees, but the pic explains what I drew and why.
1. You wouldn't see the inside like a bowl even though it's from the top because the back of the hat is much bigger in height than the other parts.
2. And it was drawn scrunched forward, like that's how it fell, that's why the feather was squished by the hat.
So basically the hat is leaning away from you.
If this is still all wrong please tell me.

Re: [WIP] Fairy Hat
your explanation makes sense but you still would be able to see the back of the hat since the head would no longer be in the way. Since the back is quite long it would tip the hat like that but you should also be able to see it too.Goku wrote:Edit:

Re: [WIP] Fairy Hat
What you see is the back, and what you don't see is the front (because it's facing that way) and the inside because the back is too big. I drew it from the back view facing you.
And some may think if the back is on this side it should tip this way, but it didn't when it fell lol, that's why the feather is squished.

Re: [FND] Fairy Hat
Alright tagged it as [FND]
But here's a preview of the armor that will go with it. (And i'll give it it's own thread after some progress has been made.

Re: [FND] Fairy Hat
we don't have quivers for the same reason we don't have Capes and shields(that show when equipped). So once some one reprograms eA so we get rid of the layer issues the pixel arts can start making art for those things.adamaix wrote:Can I request a quiver when your arrows are equipped?

It has nothing to do with eA.Black Don wrote:we don't have quivers for the same reason we don't have Capes and shields(that show when equipped). Re: [FND] Fairy Hat
To add a quiver when you've got arrows equipped is related to the client.
As long as the client knows enough to draw things correctly, it's client related.
As for myself, if someone provide the graphics of an 'equipped' quiver that is drawn when arrows are equipped, it will be fine to me.
The hard part is that the layer has to be carefully thought in order to know after and before what it is drawn depending on the character's direction and action.
Anyway, thanks for the fairy hat, I create an issue about it right away...
