Re: How did you come here?
from portableapps.com, decided to start playing on a whim.
Re: How did you come here?
i got super sick and tired of stupid tibia and its stupid nonsense and annoying community so i came here and low and behold i found my haven , TMW FOREVER!
Re: How did you come here?
I installed a new Ubuntu for my "under school-age" son... Just for gaming purposes and came over this from it's game list. This was in late winter/ early spring this year. Then i had to find it for my self and my OSX as well, so i could go and play along with him and do possible communications and translations for him. Of course i have had to play some on my own so i would be some paces ahead of him all the time

Re: How did you come here?
From my friend,he give me this game^^.
Re: How did you come here?
I was looking at all of the new releases on PortableApps.com and decided to try it. I never played a MMORPG untill now. I love the environment, sprites, tilesets, and all of the great people
. (_Melissa_ in game.)

Re: How did you come here?
Wow. I've been waiting to post on this thread for so long... so many posts to read through...
*Pants*
Anyhow, I found this game in the Ubuntu repository searching for 'mmorpg', I think, nearly six months ago now. Within one week I was saying: "I've only been playing this game for seven days? But it's part of my life!"
I haven't actually contributed anything yet, but my TMW projects folder has about thirty begun-and-not-finished ideas and so on, because I'm dreadful at ever finishing anything.
One thing I noticed whilst reading through the 16 pages or so of this thread was the amount of people which said things like "You'll see a lot more of me!", and yet had only made 1 post on the forum. And that was it... they may still be playing the game, but I doubt it.
5zigendude, for example, has made 1 post on this forum, which was:
"
i found it on OnRpg.com lists, and Might I say this game is really koo, I hope it gets big! =D i know Im gonna be here alot
"
~I know I'm gonna be here a lot.

Re: How did you come here?
I played Ultima online for nearly 10 years - and it ever was fulfilling in my eyes.
After my leaving - I played for some time Diablo 2 again, but the PvPing and unhelpfulness of most people let me leave there very soon again.
I started TMW, as a RPG I found in eeebuntu. Okay, like everyone else I had to update (Debian SID repository, the 3 TMW-files and the libphysfs from SID), but then it ran smoothly.
At the moment, TMW is just monsterbashing, or doing magic. Maybe with the time, there will come a lot more skills, so that you have a real choice and can not only level up by killing.
For a very early alpha - in my eyes, it looks good.

Re: How did you come here?
I either found it from Sourceforge or the (now deleted) wikipedia entry on "list of open-source video games". Don't remember which.
Re: How did you come here?
I came here by a friend. He helped me installing the game and some other basic things about it.
