hmm I cant seem to find it although Ive seen it before...
I'll try and make a perma link system for these articles so tmw people can find my Q client easier and maybe I'll write some stuff up on getting it going on linux or even bother to deal with the all merging I'd need to do if I am to up date it again.

I may ask for something already said before...

But:

Why Qoal's functionalities aren't in mainline?

Is it a question of non wanted features, or maybe he doesn't want to include his code?

Could you describe quick drop and quick outfit change?

The outfit system is already in 0.0.30.

Other things in his patch include a snake game, music controls (only for a certain app and windows only), and an about window for the patch.

The online list parses eA's online list (so isn't useful for the other build). Kill stats had some consideration a while ago, but was rejected (with the possibility of future inclusion).

The problem with the online list is that eAthena already has an ingame friend list feature which is unimplemented in the current client. It would be much better to implement this feature that way instead of using the workaround with the exported web online list.

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

Hi Jaxad,

Found this (That helps):
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/images/7/7 ... hot_24.png

- Should TMWserv create an online list, too?
Would be useful for web stats.
If yes, and awaiting on that, the online list could maybe be added into mainline?

- What is the quick drop about, exactly?
-> is it the drop buttons (drop one, drop all)?

- For the kill stats,
Well, I understand why it's been rejected.
Maybe,The experience left to next level could be added in mainline.
As for myself, I would add this window for high player but only make it enabled
if compiled with a certain option. Just a thought, anyway.

- Lol, I think the snake game is the famous game-in-a-game syndrome you can see in every MMORPG
those days...
If we ever get bored, I could be added, as well as a calculator! ;) I've seen such mini applications in WoW, Eve online, and else...

Anyway, thanks for the info.

Both the online list and friend list are good to go in, IMO.

As we have party list, buddy list, guild list, and maybe one day the online list.

Maybe a window should gather all that stuff in one place...

Just a thought.

We already have plans for a social window to merge them together.

We already have that as part of TMWweb (with three output formats: plain text, html, xml (with plenty of data on players)).

And add it to TMWServ (handled by the chat server?).

Hi,

Thanks for the quick reply, Jaxad.
Jaxad wrote:We already have plans for a social window to merge them together.
 Is there already something written about it somewhere?

 The TMWserv online list window should then be made to depend on it.

Ah, and indeed, the friend list is to be finished for TMWserv. Shall I make an issue about it ?

Regards.
