chickens...

Got something on your mind about the project? This is the correct place for that.

chickens...

Post by DonCBen »

Has anyone thought of a way to maybe introduce a chicken that you can hit over and over and doesn't hit back unless you hit it too many times? Then they all come after you like evil mushrooms (a la Zelda).

Just a thought, like it or not, I don't care. I just thought it might be something fun.

Geier = Vulture.
Black/white bird which steals things? Yes, I would agree that that sounds like a magpie.

Yes, this is interesting, but personally I would leave out flying birds. However...
Would it be possible to have a monster which, after you hit it the first time, flies away? It sort of jumps into the air, gets a bit bigger then disappears?
This would mean that low-levelled players could not attack them, because they'd get away. You'd need a very high attack to kill them in one hit, and they don't give much XP, but have a few good (but rare) drops.

For monsters that you attack and they attack you back, though, I would limit birds to things like Rattites (Ostrich, Rhea, Kiwi, Emu, Cassowary) and other flightless ones, like Dodos - and of course made-up ones, like that big coloured bird that someone was making. I forget who it was.

Back to the topic (to stop Rotonen deleting this post!) I agree with the chicken idea.

That's cool, I didn't realize anyone had started working on this. I like it. Perfect,IMO, for the area around Hinnak ( the scythe guy)

IMHO, chickens should be a bit bigger than that, at least bigger than maggots.

agreed... those are some tiny chickens... then again compared to the players, those are some HUGE maggots!

Obviously the maggots in the game are twisted and mutated by, uh, evil or something. I think if the chickens started looking too much bigger they'd be ridiculous.
