Music specifications
Forum rules
This forum houses many years of development, tracing back to some of the earliest posts that exist on the board.
Its current use is for the continued development of the server and game it has always served: TMW Classic.
Music specifications
Some ponderings on the specifications.
http://wiki.themanaworld.org/index.php/Music (SFX also):
‣ The wiki page still needs some work.
‣ A GIt repository has been opened.
‣ The wiki page (essentially last edited in April last year) states that music tracks are to be named “Author - Title of Track.oggâ€ÂÂ. Currently the files also are named like “Title of Track.ogg†and “The Mana World - Title of Trackâ€ÂÂ. I think it would be nice with some consistency here.
And maybe create a sticky thread in these forums which points to these guidelines in the wiki?

Re: Music specifications
Is it really a good idea to use git for hosting the music repository? Git is made especially for version control of text files. It is notoriously bad at working with large binary files like music.
