Simple Linux keylogger?

Post by black »

Hello,
I am in a desperate need to get a simple linux keylogger. Nothing fancy here, all I require is that it intercepts keys, and save them to a log file(to given path) thats it. my target system is RH Enterprise Linux 4. Please help

I have tried lkl and uberkey etc but I never got them working, a working binary would be highly appreciated, thankyou

Are you sure that what you are trying to do is legal in Pakistan?

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

Well, if you can't get some key loggers to work you aren't worthy using one.

Matt and Dallas are right thou, but here is why:

In your case, you are asking for a keylogger. You don't just want the source to compile, you want a binary. If you don't understand how to check these things for yoursel (decompile and check the code), then what stops someone from giving you a keylogger that works, but at the same time sends a copy of everything to their computer and installs a backdoor into "your" computer?

software keyloggers don't work very well.

I suggest you get a usb keylogger, they are cheap, work on any OS, and easy to install. Plus unblockable and undetectable via software.

They do require physical access to install though. but that should not be a issue for your "personal" computer.

Last time I checked the USB keyloggers were about $70 and the PS/2 ones a little cheaper (ie, not that cheap). Did you have a cheaper source?

You don't think $70 is cheap? I bet you could get one off ebay for $40
