I like the idea of a gas mask, but I'm not a pixel'r but doesn't seem like a good one. No offense.

But if it's your first try then good job, But the front you be smaller and a round cylinder type thing should be on the side.

In my opinion it looks more like a grinning obsidian skull mask than a gas-mask.

~and as far as I'm aware a gas-mask isn't exactly a [REQ] item...

Neither do I.

skipy: nice attempt. But it's horribly blurry. Try to not use filtering and pixelize it. Nad try to draw it form the side and from the back.

with a few touch ups I think this one is a better choice.

i was unaware of that one..

ill stop work on this ..seeing as how theres a better one and a gas-mask dose not fit in the game well..

Gas mask is a great idea. If you had a swamp with poison gas then you would have a use for the gas mask. No telling what weird creatures would be living in an area filled with swamp gas. If you didn't wear the mask your health would start to fail while in that area.

I think any pics should be shown in the size it will appear in game. with pixel art it might look nice blown up at 400-800% but might look terrible at the size it will be when put into the game.

I think you were trying to show us zoomed one. So be sure not to use bicubic or linear interpolation while resizing.
