The most likely explanation is that you misspelled the #-symbol at the beginning of the spell invocation and thus said it aloud multiple times instead of casting the spell. This triggered the automatic chat flood detection which banned you automatically.

The usual procedure to complain about a ban is the court house forum. But automatic bans for spamming only last for one hour, so before a game master responds you will most likely already be unbanned, so you shouldn't bother.

The same thing happened to me the other day with the same spell. Definitely wasn't misspelled ... I checked when the dialog box popped up.

You need the #. #itenplz is the spell. itenplz isn't.

Don't know about the OP, but I did have the # sign. As I said, the invocation was spelled correctly. I checked when the dialog box appeared. Did this spell the same way I'd done it a 1000 times before. No idea why this time I was banned.

As a suggestion, maybe add the "spammed" text to the server log. Might help to clear up some confusion when events like this arise. The other thing to think about might be to add a warning dialog that pops up before someone is banned.

A warning is put in the chat window.

That's fine ... but what I suggested was a dialog box that would pop up. It would have the effect of taking the focus and forcing the user to stop and answer it. Just guessing, but you would probably see a drop in your false positive ban rate.

Warning to all when casting a spell and you do not wait for the "cool down" for the spell before casting again the spell is said out loud. If you do this a bunch of times you will get banned by the auto-ban detection.

For example if I were to type #itenplz and then use the up arrow and enter as fast as I can I would get banned. "Cool down" is not that long on this spell but it is still possible to repeat the spell before the "cool down" is over. And if this happen repeatedly then you will get banned. As far as I'm concerned spell spam is still spam.
