1.yes you can use paint

made really quickly and with Gimp, which is also why it sucks

I normally use Paint.net instead of Gimp, which IMO is much easier to use. (and it has a tool to draw nice lines, which I couldn't find in gimp <_<).

EDIT: blah, Gimp trowed out the alpha channel. (stupid Gimp.)
