You two please do collaborate on what will be the score of this area. saturn has the final say on this subject.

Concerning your piece: expressive and playful, but might get intensively on people's nerves after a while.

The idea is nice, but it goes on for too long with the same theme/feel, and is too fast. Maybe use less lines, make it slower (that will naturally expand the playtime as well), and keep it short. Try adding another section with maybe slow arco strings. MMOs should be very careful about non-ambient songs, though your song does have an RPG feel.

I won't be able to get another sketch out here until Thursday, but here are 3 songs that I haven't posted in forums yet:

So, what is up?

The score concepting and composition is going rather nice.

SFX: what's up? Any plans so far? Cosmostrator still around and interested? Any new people interested in doing SFX work? (Do PM me...)

I'm watching what's happening in the other topics to see how the area is shaping up. I can do some effects, what types of enemies are there as of yet?

Is anyone else around?

As of yet, we have not even touched the topic of what enemies we will have in the landscape since we cannot really tell at this point what will fit in.

If you happen to come across ideas for SFX work we would most certainly use, you (as in all of you reading this) can propose here or just do it. So far at least Feline Monstrosity has expressed desire in compositional work.

What kinds of SFX are needed? I can do weapons and enemies. (for environmental stuff, I was just thinking I'd include those in the music track).

We don't really know yet. One thing I plan to push though is the imp quest idea. IF you have nothing else to work on, you can start on the imp attack and imp die sounds

They aren't very amazing, but some sounds:

There is a nice hammer/chisel/anvil sound in there, imo, and a sword clash sound.

I am working on an academy song, it has a real old-school flair, I'll post it here reallly soon (a day or so).

Here it is, in its first version:

it may be a bit too slow and minor for the academy, and it definitely is too short. I will make it twice as long, and fix it up. Let me know what you think!

It sounds creepy... and "This is school music" is not what comes to mind.

I imagine something for a school as being fast past and excited, as if you were starting anew

I agree/realized that as I was making it. What about dungeon music?

No, its not quite suited for that either, I would say this would be a good piece of music for a great and mighty city.

I love it, keep going, our academy happens to be a bit bizarre and magic and with quest, I know is not finished but may be an small portion of the music with a combat spirit would be nice.

I can make a more upbeat part, and will continue that piece. In the meanwhile, here is a more "cheery" academy-type song:

http://alokinnollahwe.com/saturn/gamemu ... ord1.1.mp3

I think it has the right feel for an academy piece, but it is too short and repetitive right now. I will work on that, and get back with a second version.
