[MANASERV] Bugs Report and ideas

I'm testing the latest git version for ManaClient and Server and i want to share some bugs i found :

* The Client disconects everytime ! - When i enter in the world and walks a little, the server says : client 127.0.0.1 disconected, but i'm still playing, i can fight, but not gain xp and not can talk with npcs. ( Most problematic by now i think ... )
* Automatic HP restoration ? - The char restores hp automatic.
* Strange Mobs movimentation - The Mobs movements are very strange and unnatural.
* It's have the possibility to shop npcs ? I don't see any ...
* I can't use input in npcs talk window or in options like Guilds creation, i think it's need a different state.
* Many adjustments-need in the interface, like the character selection and creation windows.
* lock the points for creation of the char or when adding more points when it's reach it's limit.
* Add a + button when creating the char and not only a slider.
* Extremally unbalanced mobs attributes. ( i think by now it's ok, because its only for tests ... )
* postgresql support - I think the postgresql it's better for this type of game, it's more robust.
* The Server says that i need a better pc because it's can't calculate some things, but i think it's not that, because i have a Dual Core processor, 4 GB ram, 7200 rpm hd and 64 bit so ... i can play Crysis with almost everything im maximum, but can't play a server of a game 2d ... ?
* Many times it's say thats not found a place to spawn a mob in the map, its ok that ?

Finally the movements of the character it's fine now ! :mrgreen:

Interesting. Can you reproduce this somehow?

* Automatic HP restoration ? - The char restores hp automatic.

This is intentional but still needs some tweaking for balance.

* Strange Mobs movimentation - The Mobs movements are very strange and unnatural.

Please elaborate what exactly is strange and unnatural with the movement of the monsters. Please also be aware of the settings in monsters.xml which define their behavior (some monsters have very extreme settings for PoC reasons)

* It's have the possibility to shop npcs ? I don't see any ...

NPC "TestNPC" on the test map, for example, demonstrates shopping. See http://doc.manasource.org/scripting#mana.npc_trade for the documentation of how to open a buy or sell window during NPC interaction scripts.

I don't understand your problem. Can you please post an example script and explain the expected behavior and the real behavior?

Yes, monster attributes are only provisorical and are not balanced for real gameplay yet.

Yes, the frame skip detection needs to be a bit more flexible.

Please check the corresponding spawn area.

Always i try to play, the server says i'm disconnected after some minutes of walking. The monsters stays in same place, and i can't talk to npcs, but i can fight with the monsters or teleport in the maps. With this problem it's simple impossible to play by now.

In manaserv-account.log it's says :

For example, if i try to create a guild and press the key "t" or "s" to put in the name of the guild, it's call the function of this keys and not permit this pressed keys turn in text for the box. I think its think i still playing normally, but its a diferent 'game-state', like when i pressed the keys for chat !

ok. Any ideas how it's happening for client disconects eveytime ? With this it's unplayable, and dificult for test other things, like combat and npc interations ...

Sorry but I am not experiencing the same problem on my server nor have I heard complaints about disconnects from other people who use Manaserv. Can you please try to find out what exactly triggers these disconnects? When your are not playing on the same machine the server is running on also make sure that the problem isn't the network connection.

i don't know what is this, it's not network because i'm running localhost server, the server still running when the client disconect, if i close and start again it's there from the point the client disconnect, and the messages showing what is happens it's only "client 127.0.0.1 disconnected." ... i will try again with the today git.

Maybe the server log files can shed more light on the issue.
