Suggestion: Weekly Rest Day

Post by bcs86 »

Once or more a week, shut down eA. Do it on Mondays.

The down time will:
  • Give GMs a break.
  • Make time to clean-up.
  • Make time to cleanly implement events.
  • Let players detach.
  • Other things.

I vote for 48 hours of downtime: 0000 +12 GMT to 0000 -12 GMT.

Wait... is that 48 hours?

I Like the Idea its like a TMW holiday. "sorry we are closed" :P No Zombie killing today. It does give everyone a day off and time to work on the game not just play it. Time to come up with new idea and create new post to complain about and what the players are going to do when they get back on
I wont stop RoCkin till I retire

GMs can manage their time the way they want. They can take a break whenever they want.
bcs86 wrote:Make time to clean-up.
Clean up what?
bcs86 wrote:Make time to cleanly implement events.
Problems which can be found without players on the server can also be found on a non-public test server every TMW developer should be able to set up in two minutes.
bcs86 wrote:Let players detach.
And what about people who actually want to play on that day?

  • former Manasource Programmer
  • former TMW Pixel artist
  • NOT a game master

Please do not send me any inquiries regarding player accounts on TMW.

You might have heard a certain rumor about me. This rumor is completely false. You might also have heard the other rumor about me. This rumor is 100% accurate.

That's why we are currently looking for new game master candidates through the GM Community Suggestions forum.

Have you ever thought that those the community thinks would make the best GMs are the ones that would be worst at it?

Yes... but the issue we are having is that non of the Devs/Admin know ingame community well enough to be able to decide who would make a good candidate or who would be accepted.

So... its either ask the community... or select a random person...

Also we hope by allowing you to have a influence in the decision, there is a less likely chance of having large amounts of the community reject the GM (as has happened in the past)
<Kage_Jittai> ... are you saying I am elite :D
<thorbjorn> Yes. :P
