Given that "the music sucks anyways" was given as an aside, that really doesn't sound like your main reason.
Like I said, I'm a musician. I take music, and it's effect, seriously. Am I terribly fond of the way the synthesizers are playing the current music? No. However, the music is being developed for a reason. Without music, games like this are significantly less immersive (read: not as good), and it makes it much harder to set up any particular mood to engross the player with. If you don't like the music, turn it off, but don't recommend that it be left out of the damn game.
