[WIP] Cave Tileset

Post by bcs86 »

In the early proposals for Tutorial Island there were some places to put caves and a lagoon.

There probably won't be caves for the Island in CR1, but it wouldn't hurt to have another underground tileset since only 2 exist ATM. One being a recolor.

We'll start by adding an entrance to what we have of the beach tile set's cliff walls.

Sorry for getting attribution wrong earlier. Damnit.

Sorry, There has been none. I'm very distracted, but will make progress as soon as possible.

While the project file is not on my canvas atm, there is still much room for ideas.

Been working on this floor tile for a few days. It is not turning out. I might just scrap it and start over.
The hard part isn't pixeling, it is staying focused.

I was trying some radical shades of color to add depth to these rocks, though they don't look very good I think the technique had interesting results.

Grid shows, and the rocks don't really look like rocks. Help would be nice, but I'll still try to focus on this cave tileset as much as I can.

Sorry for the lack of updates.
Let's discard that previous attempt at an entrance and try something else.

Axl, won't you work on that beach some more? These are the cliffs I use?

Have been trying to match the texture. Getting closer with each attempt.

Again, sorry this is taking a while. We've been keeping each other informed
on #tmw-cr1 though.

Hi,
Axl, if you are still around (I hope so), could you provide your original .xcf ?
That will greatly help us: bcs, with his entrance, and I, for a multi-level town.
Thanks.

Hi Axltrozz,

(Glad to see you around.)

If you're willing to, I can put you working files into the tmwart repository:
http://gitorious.org/tmwart

Shall I?

Also, as a CR1 sub-leader, you should have dev access to the repo, and should ask for them.

best regards.
