What license is this under? I read it's open source, is it GPL, LGPL, BSD, etc?

So it's the GPL that forces any project to be GPL also?

but the problem is that every customer you sold your product to can sell it too for any price or give it away for free.
but that doesn't mean that you can't take money for using a service you provide based on gpl software. for example taking money from people for playing on a gameserver running a game licensed under gpl software.
