isnt it amazing how they took so long to make a couple of useless npcs (or expensive ones),

if you are not happy by my 'useless' npcs you can leave the game too

id rather not leave and do some dev work myself or wait until it gets better.

npc scripting (quests and interesting dialog)
some pixel art (items, icons, static npcs, hats)
a lot of pixel art (monster sprites, animated npcs, armor, weapons, tilesets)
mapping

Right now the Graveyard content development team is working as hard as they can to get content ready and I'd rather not split their efforts until it is done.

I haven't done much exploring recently (hence why I'm asking) but can you buy the forest bow now? I know the shop in Nivalis sold it but since that's gone now too it means you can only get it from the quest of a bazillion logs (assuming you're unlucky).

Is there a tutorial or something that can be pointed to for those interested in learning for the sake of contributing? I have an abundance of free time in the evenings and on weekends that I could put toward something productive like this.

Try to hang out in IRC channels. That is the place where usually the decisions are made. Being there you get an understanding how the developer community works quite fast.
