It seems like an interesting idea. I think im going to head over to you forum until A.) Devs of cr1 think of a more organized cover for missing necessary things. or B.) fother_j ever appears again.

I really need something and I'm not getting it here :/

I can't say I have things together any better than they do (actually I'm far worse off)... I never even got the concept artist that I wanted :( so no logical pipeline just the old TMW way

I'm very new to the ability of tiled and I mostly generate graphics but seeing how you are ahead on that I wouldn't know where to start you would have to point me somewhere.

Well I admit that it needs some work.

here are some bronze items they all share the same color pallet. If they work for you I'm happy ;)

If they don't well its ok gives me something to do and you could tell me whats wrong.

Color pallet mostly, and the shield doesn't read as metal as much as the platemail

*you'll notice that on the map they don't look like they are made for WOA (getting the correct color pallet might take some readjusting)
*also if you could redraw the shield so that its more of a front view or so that it looks like its on the ground
*also note that WOA uses colors that are somewhat brighter and more washed-out than what would normal considered good in art
*also note that because the char sprite is not actually going to be seen with the armor on that it can be abstracted and stylized if you so wish

My laptop windows computer just got the blue screen of fail so after i get linux on it
(sigh...) I will be able to adjust these also If someone could point me at a ms-paint for linux?
honestly i like it better, simple.

yes i noticed for the shield offness and as far as the plate I drew it over her so I did'nt realize you were going to have set styles? my guess.

I use MS-Paint for most things too (Gimp/Pshop for what can't be done in MS-Paint)

KolourPaint (part of KDE) is designed to be very similar.

Here I made three icons (derived from yours) and applied some different pallets to them..might help as a guideline

*the gold is from the pallet I used last time
*the steel or iron is the same that I've been using on the player sets.
*the copper or bronze is a slight hue change of the gold
*the purple is from Auran's icons

I thought you still needed the pallets to recolor... (I would hope you don't just pick them without seeing how they look first)
this is really more of a chart showing some materials which can be used
