If the really light pink is a reflection it should change to its movements. If its not reflection that's really bad shading. Other than the reflection issue it looks OK.

normally its a reflection but if you hesitate on this sprite I prefer use a normal lighting

I think that the downest type is the best because of it's existing version...

Dithering is really more of a blending method when dealing with a small color pallet (I don't believe it should be used as extensively as you are using it)

I'm also not a big fan of the color change

Bright colors are bright and cheerful.

I could really care less about the bright and happy (anything) colors, the problem I have is:
1. You added an odd Dithering pattern at the expense of some of the detail
2. The color choice and dithering is such that its destroyed the shading and contrast of the monster
