I'd hope children fall under that too. Plus, it's almost always best to provide such an option.

lol, wow katze you know how to get to the bottom of something.
Of course love=sex. Is that how it works? To have sex is to love someone and loving someone is to have sex!!!!
I got it now.
But let me ask you this.
If the one that you truly love, was hit by a car, and could not have sex, period. Would you still have sex with the another male or female? It is what you are implying that you can not have one with out the other. Your poll clearly states that if you are to love someone you MUST have sex. It says love preferences, then moves to sexual orientation. It also implies that the only thing you need is sex, and that love is a product of it.
I am sorry but the whole poll is just silly and useless.

It was originally "sexual preferences", but she changed it.
It seems about 58% of the people who took fulfilled the poll consider them self straight. This is much lower then average population in which about 90% (or so I have heard) of people are straight.

So it still implies that you can not have a deep emotional bond with someone and not have sex.

This poll has nothing to do with emotional bond... it simply asks your gender, and the gender(s) of the people you wish to have sex with.

But does gender have to do with homosexual, bisexual. or heterosexual.
You understand that there are dominate male, gender, female sex, and hetersexual right?
You also understand that you can have a female gendered, male sex, and homosexual right?
Noxeema Jackson: When a straight man puts on a dress and gets his sexual kicks, he is a transvestite. When a man is a woman trapped in a man's body and has a little operation he is a Transsexual.
Miss Chi-Chi Rodriguez: I know that.
Noxeema Jackson: When a gay man has way too much fashion sense for one gender he is a drag queen.
Vida Boheme: Thank you.
Noxeema Jackson: And when a tired little Latin boy puts on a dress, he is simply a boy in a dress!
straight man in a dress= female gender, male sex, heterosexual.
gay man trapped a womans body= female gender, male sex, homosexual
latin boy in a dress= male gender, male sex, homosexual
You can not confuse gender, sex, sexual orientation and love.

This poll is ONLY for sex and sexual orientation...
Katze: Please change the topic back to "sexual preferences" so darkwater will stop whining about non-sensible stuff

The fact that I didn't want to write a book about sexuality, gender, love etc.,but just wanted to know if the tmw community differs from the average American, European etc., made me hold this simple.
And actually, I do think that 'none of the above' should be an acceptable option for everyone who doesn't want to be pressed into stereotypes or just doesn't fall into any of those categories.
I am heterosexual, but I don't fall for every kind of man. But the fact that I fall for men makes me heterosexual. So if you are a homosexual transvestite and fall for homosexual transvestites, that might be important and intersting as such, but it's not what I have been asking about. I was only asking who consider themselves homo-, who hetero-, and who bisexual. And you should take the "consider" serious. If I wanted to know something else I'd have asked a different question.
I shouldn't try to please everyone too much. So I'll change the name of this topic again.

I choose none of the above because I'm into genderless space aliens (also I can shape shift so I'm not sure what gender I was originally)

sex = gender.
but also: sex is impossible.
so the only option that makes sense is "none of the above" which doesn't really mean asexuality, for this would be impossible aswell.
greetings.

'none of the above' does not necessarily mean asexual. So I think it's perfectly ok for you to say 'none of the above'. I even had you in mind when giving that option.

Awesome poll.
It seems to be true that many people on TMW just like to be themselves, which is pretty cool when you think about it.
