doesn't count. everyone knows the game is unwinnable. xkcd telling you won doesn't change that.

On the long run, how do you not waste time?

it's a community supported mmorpg. members do contribute to it. some more some less.
this community lacks consistency. Good side of it is, it has variation/diversity. Most of the members enjoy it or contribute to it at their free times. Not that one will have to stick with it all the time or through out his/her life. Old members either leave it or take a break to focus their real life. new members join in. that simple. And I am not different from it either.
Since the main software licensed as GPL, it has less chance to stop in future. Canonical will support the finances.
We are hopefully safe with platyna for the next several years. If she fails to continue, someone/someothers will take charge. Guaranteed.
at the end if you are matured, none stopping you to decide what you should do........
if you are immatured, your guardian should decide that....

Another incarnation of "Pandora's Box" ?
PS :
- for the "Quantum Die-Hard Fans", I well learned Schrödinger's Cat involved a box too, but ... Pandora is more up to my personal taste

naw its in a state of both alive and dead, but neither specifically
Once you observe it, there will be a 50% chance it will be alive.
