I've not looked at all the new icons, but I've seen the majority, and they look grand. Good work Enchi.

Jenalya, how soon can we add these in. I think alot of them are an improvement, some are about the same, and a few are supremely better.

As far as I understood enchilado is looking over them again during the weekend, and then is going to provide those which are ready to be added.

I've been going over the other edits I did and I suppose I'm happy enough with most of it even if I think it could still be improved. So I just need to make the easter eggs dye nicely and then perhaps tweak a few things a little more...

I've also been playing with some equipment icons.

I need to work more on most of them (the blades of the swords have a weird texture and I don't like the rings at all, among other things), but it's a start.

I thought a recoloured shortsword might be a more appropriate icon for the setzer since it's created by applying a potion to that.

Looks great, the only thing I have is that the scythe should be flipped as well imo. I agree with you about the rings. I think they should be a little bit bigger, and I'm not sure if I like the gold pallette. Keep up the good work! :D

I think the idea on orientation is that one handed goes / and two handed goes \ .

I thought it's melee vs. ranged.

I cannot see where is the need to make item icons smaller. If there was an intention to make a 16x16 icon set for smaller screen devices, the client and player could take advantage of them

Many actual icons seem very nice to me so I'd prefer to keep them, the new one are equivalent or less nice (warp paper, 4 leafs, coal, terranite...)
About half of the new ones are a real nice improvement but among them could be used for new items, or upgrades of existing ones.

Our actual weapons are actually daggers, if I understood well. Which kind of icons will we use if the long swords icons are chosen to depict them?

I have to be honest, I'm a bit torn on this topic. Part of me is thrilled that maybe small items dropping will no longer look like giant objects next to the player/surroundings. But... I also think a lot of the icons are nice Because they give a closer view. Don't suppose there's any way we could have a few set icons for different types of equipment/items that drop... and have reasonably larger icons for in our inventory view? Personally, I'll be a bit sad to see the much improved ring icons go, among other things. Overall though, I understand the need for consistent art, so this is hardly a big complaint or serious request. Just food for thought (or forum warfare ;) ).

Manaplus have support for item on ground, and item on inventory. Having an item on ground with a smaller size is good, but the item on the inventory should stay big as Nard explained.

You can do that via the floor node: http://doc.manasource.org/items.xml#flo ... escription

So you can even do animated icons on the ground if you want (and also with mana).

If that was the case then the wooden staff needs to be flipped. Though melee vs ranged is more logical imo.

Thoughts on any of this? http://i.imgur.com/EF5GCtw.png

I think I'm happy enough (which is not very) with these now to start focusing on whichever icons people don't think are improvements. If anyone wants to let me know what they think those are that'd be helpful.

I'm really impressed by the work you have been doing lately Enchilado, it is incredible! I hope this will help people seeing how bad and inconsistent TMW art is right now.

Though the high quality of your work, Enchilado, I am still wondering about the use of this dark outline you love so much. That is why I would like to ask people if they would rather like a shaded outline instead. Here is a comparison between icons Enchilado remade and the same icons but with a different outline. I did that really fast as I have not much spare time for myself these days, I just did that to give you an idea of what I mean. Tell us what you think! :)
