Voting on who gets a contributor shirt would turn it into a popularity contest. I can see it now: "I voted no, because we already have too many people with them, and really isn't 3-4 enough? There is always at least one person online wearing it at any given hour of the day."
Either the TMWC should come up with the criteria for being awarded a contributor shirt, or it should be given to anyone who contributes to the game or wiki in any way (essentially anything except being chatty/talkative and posting on the forums, though you might have to make an exception for people who's ideas are implemented.)
Also, thank you meko for listing me, but I'm okay without one.

We need more devs, we need more contributors.
I see this as some kind of advertisment which we lack of greatly.
The biggest motivation is this game is under GPL. It's our game. No one can take this game away.

It's fun to see how an item that no one have yet is already creating that much discord... I'm starting to think that maybe we're better off without it.. I wouldn't want to see contributors to start hating each other because they do or don't have the shirt

What the...
Guys, you are making this far more complicated than it is
Just let those who think they deserved a shirt request one and hand it over to them.
Finished.
Of course editting a typo in the wiki isn't enough, I think that's obvious.
We are talking about actively creating or carefully testing new content or code.
Please don't make a weird bureaucracy out of this.

TMW being open source for sure attracts players but obviously not enough.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not interested in having such a shirt, but others will be.
And since people love gathering equipment, especially not obtainable ones content-wise, this has potential to get us more contributors.
What can happen to someone who only wanted to contribute a bit? Guess I point at myself

Agree. These shirts can be given for a number of contributions. There is 0 reason not to hand them out to people who have them coming. Yet I still agree a methodology has to be adopted.
- Any dev/admin/gm/artist/sound
- Wiki Editors
- Translators
- Moderators
- Testing/Bug Reporting
- Players known for helping newbs & generally encouraging community
We make a Forum post like Manamarket, have people who deserve a shirt post for one, and Hand out shirts and mark that person as given via the forum thread or mark for that player they haven't fulfilled one of the requirements (See Above List). We don't have to seek them out, if they want one they have to make an effort to ask for it. Who cares if the shirts go into the wild. TMW recognized them on the thread and with that shirt to do as they please, end of story.
The easiest to deal with are the first 5 in that list as those are all logged via the various software. We always have methods of verifying accounts. It's how we track scammers and bots. So those first 5 easy peasy, Do any of those "bam", ask and you shall receive.
Last, players known for helping newbs & generally encouraging community. These tend to be 2 categories; Obvious to the point of no question or Needs to be nominated. First, when it's super obvious it's easy. Some of the current/past Staff was part of the Obvious category. NitaRama, Crazyk8e and Ginaria are good examples of Obvious. The second category tends to be people who are not hanging out in Hurnscald 24/7 but grinding farming and running people through quests, towns, battles, builds, magic, etc. Any player could nominate another player. Similar rules as GM elections but Require 20 votes instead.
Both of these posts can go in a General Topic like "Contributor Suggestions".

My suggestion on who should have one to start with:
Everyone in TMWC because they all contributed to get to that position, that goes for advisors aswell.
Chay, for making the contributor shirt amongst other things (I made the C the rest is done by her), most notably she has been working on several quests.
Nard, for being the wiki-kingpin in the past, has also helped out in the project here and there.
Meko, for contributing on quests, magic etc.
Cassy
Void
Frequent testers (no idea about who they are since i am not involved in testing at all)
Those are from the top of my head, probably a whole list of others that should get one.
Finally, I volounteer to hand them out, if someone wants one i will ask wushin/o11c about what they have contributed if I don't feel that I can make the judgement myself. Making it a voting process sounds like quite an ordeal for something that is to be seen as a warrented "thanks for helping out"-gift.
I hope that the Item-description will be "I worked day and night without pay and all I got was this lousy shirt."

Hello

,
is the contributor shirt dyeable? If no, that would be sad, if yes, it would be great. Probably the "C" and the shirt could be dyeable like at sorcererrobe and their lines. Or i could brandmark shirt with a C.

No need for drama sorry if i started one last post, i am ok without it too (thanks for suggesting me anyway). i think tmwc and devs criteria is better to make less argues about it. in devs i mean whoever made content or code patch's for bugs, even if s/he is not active at it right now. if you really notice exceptional tester (like i think serene is for you), or exceptional wiki contributor like Nard if he ever comes back i think no one will argue if you suggest them.
I think the main purpose of this shirt will be to encourage people to contribute for the project in any way they can, if it serves this purpose i really dont mind who will get it.

I don't know genesis but I can testify for Arkhen. He saved my ass a couple of times with some quests.
