Just don't be disappointed if tmw does not get a permission for free. And you're right: That trollface is everywhere in the internet. And that's the reason why the creator of this little icon still makes between 5000 and 10000 USD out of it So don't be surprised or dsappointed if using that troll face costs a fee.

If that fee is a one-time fee, i would consider offering about 1USD for it, although i never used that emoticon myself. But i would prefere to see this emoticon replaced.

Not in that case, the "creator" want to make money out of it. If he accepts to release it under the GPL or CC licence, he looses everything.

We don't have the rights to use trollface(as Duck up as it may seem) so we can't legally distribute it and no we're never going to get permission to distribute it under GPLv2 so stop dreaming about it.

It is up to the community to discuss if it is worth the effort to ask, although there is nearly no chance to get a satisfying result. And maybe this thread is encouraging some tmw artists to create an own tmw trollface? What about converting a MOB (Yeti or Zombie) head to an emoticon to replace trollface?

You can discuss your options AFTER its been removed when we're not actively infringing copyright laws.

Reid- 4144 Cassy Meko How about we hold a contest to replace it with something chosen by the community? I can pitch in like $10-15 bucks towards who ever wins, Sure we could get a few more people to toss the winners (possibly runners up) some loot. Could even coordinate with OGA maybe?

Sounds good to me.

Mana trolls are special enough to keep in house (even though they are not litter trained).

It should fit for every project which use manaplus.

What about this? Adapted from current sprite sheet. CC / edits welcome if it's useable.

Cleaned it up a bit. Still needs finishing.
