Use the Acorn from that post. Just remove the Nut part and leave the cap.

Nice looking hat! Hopefully it would make it into the game and be obtainable at some point.

The darkness is better. However, I feel that the part of the hat where the head sits in is too "straight" as in it forms too much of a triangle, that section of outline should be more rounded and curved. Also, you would be able to see the inside of the opposite side of the hat too. I have tried to find a picture to show what I mean.
